Rabobank, Solarfields and Green-Invest Drenthe are proud to announce financial close for the financing of Zonnepark Vloeivelden Hollandia in the Netherlands. A unique feature of this project is the dual usage of land, facilitating both storage of excess process water of the neighboring starch potato facility of Avebe as well as the solar farm, which will be built on elevated racks above the water. The project will be connected to a private grid (GDS).
The 116 MWp solar farm, as far as we know currently the largest under construction in the Netherlands, is being constructed by Ib Vogt supported by Avitec for civil works and will provide over 30,000 households with green energy when finalized. The senior debt package will be provided by Rabobank and is partially funded by KfW under their Erneuerbare Energien program.

Solarfields is a full-service renewable energy company. We feel the urgency to support the Netherlands in reaching its sustainability goals.
