Last week re:cap global investors and Solarfields joined forces. Solarfields will carry out the commercial management of five large-scale Dutch PV assets, concerning 72.2 MWp of installed capacity, of the Swiss investment advisor.
re:cap has, by means of a tender, designated Solarfields as the party to carry out the commercial management of the 5 projects which were acquired by the FP Lux Investments Group early February. The individual solar parks, ranging from 9.3 MWp to 23.5 MWp, have a total capacity of 72.2 MWp. The parks are situated in Bemmel, Hof van Twente, Gennep, Hoogeveen and Zuidplas. In total more than 22,400 households are supplied with renewable energy, saving more than 38,600 tons of CO2 per year. All projects were connected to the grid by 2020 and will benefit from the SDE + feed-in tariff for 15 years.
Starting this week, Solarfields will be responsible for the financial and administrative management of five solar parks in the Netherlands.
Thomas Staudinger, re:cap’s COO: “We have identified Solarfields as an attractive partner with sound knowledge and experience in the Dutch PV market. We are very confident that our partner will assist us managing our assets with its best of class approach.“
Gerben Smit, CEO of Solarfields: “With this collaboration we strengthen our position as market leader in asset management in large-scale solar projects.“
The contract has a duration of three years. However, it is the intention of both parties to convert this into a so-called long-term services contract. From re:cap the intention has been expressed to also bring further 8 solar parks into this cooperation ewith Solarfields. In addition to the commercial management, the aim is to have Solarfields being responsible for the technical management. The total installed capacity of the target portfolio is 221.4 MWp.
Thomas Staudinger says: “As a financial investor with a growing portfolio of solar parks, the continuous and smooth technical operation of our parks is of central importance in order to meet our performance goals and to ensure steady cash-flows for our investors. Therefore, we are looking forward to a lasting cooperation with Solarfields as an experienced partner.”
